What is the Predictive Threat Map?
This map scores geographic regions by recent incident velocity — combining total incident count with a 7-day momentum window weighted by severity. Severe zones indicate locations with high-frequency or high-severity recent incidents. Elevated zones show moderate activity. Guarded zones represent baseline monitoring areas. How is threat level calculated?
Threat Score = (Total Incidents × 0.2) + 7-Day Momentum
Momentum counts incidents in the last 7 days, weighted by category: Physical Assault and Threats score 3×; all other categories score 1.5×.
Severe: Score ≥ 10 or ≥ 2 high-severity incidents in 7 days
Elevated: Score ≥ 4
Guarded: Score < 4
